Heather Bishop, whose family lives in Belle River Ontario, is a heart transplant recipient.
At age 19 Heather knew she would need a heart transplant, because of a rhythm problem.
She received a defibrillator as a temporary fix, and in 2001 received a life saving heart transplant,
and now leads a normal active lifestyle. Heather entered the 2005 world transplant games in London Ontario
and continues to be a strong advocate for transplantation.
