Blaise Vigneux's brother Mark donated half of his liver to save Blaise's life in 2001,
One year after this type of live donor was approved in Canada.
After 3 years and new complications he needed another transplant and received a cadaver liver in 2004. With many
complications, being in a coma and his Kidneys shutting down, Blaise fought for his life and recovered once again.
Blaise can play baseball again and is back to work living a normal life.
There are over 100 diseases of the Liver and Blaise had primary Biliary Scirosis of the liver. The Vigneux's have
four beautiful young children, son's Raymond and Benjamin, daughters Celeste,and Sasha.
Sasha, their youngest would not be hear today without Blaise receiving the Gift of Life
The Vigneux's will always remember and appreciate their donors family who made a courageous and compassionate
decision to donate their loved ones organs at a time of unbearable grief in their lives.
