Hoop City is proud to be involved with Sport Fest Windsor and organ donation awareness.
My father in law received an eleventh hour liver transplant in 2002 which gave him a second chance at life allowing
him to enjoy his family, grandchildren and friends. So far he is still going strong after 7 years. Keep it going Tom.
He and his brother Roger along with a few friends formed Sport Fest Windsor to give something back to this
great cause and honour those families that made a courageous and loving decision to donate their loved ones
organs at a time of extreme grief and sadness. They are the true heroes!

11th Annual 2 on 2 Basketball Tournament
Special thank you to Jim Law and his Hoop City gang of basketball players. Every year Jim organizes a 2 on 2 basketball tournament with a number of his friends. This year 28 basketball friends along with their wives, girlfriends and children gathered at the home of Steve Brnardic in LaSalle (what a facility) to witness some great rough and tumble 2 on 2 basketball.
This, the 11th year of the tournament, saw St. Clair College alumnus, Jimmy Parsons, and former Catholic Central Comet, Greg Trojand, take home the trophies. It was Parsons’ record 4th Hoop City title and the first for Trojand. Parsons also took home a pair of Detroit Tiger tickets due to his MVP honour, as voted by tournament players.
Thanks again to everybody that participated.
